Wearable Art for the Bold Soul
Jewelry Stories by Lisa-Marie Armstrong
Wearable art for the bold soul — the kind of jewelry that doesn’t whisper, but speaks. Welcome to my journal.
The presence of Big Jewelry
There’s something powerful about wearing big jewelry. Not big for the sake of being big — but big because it carries presence. Weight. Intention. And, in many ways, a kind of energy you can actually feel on your body.
When I wear one of my larger pieces, I feel more grounded. More aware of myself. More connected to the journey I’m on in this body. It’s visually inescapable — and that’s the point.
Not everyone understands wearable art
Some people think it’s strange. Others absolutely love it. However, both reactions make sense. Wearable art isn’t meant for everyone. It’s meant for the person who feels something when he/she puts it on — the person who isn’t afraid to take up space, to express him/herself, to wear something that carries a story.
How intuition shapes each art piece
Every piece I make is born through a multi‑phase process driven by intuition. I sculpt, carve, layer, paint, refine… and somewhere along the way, the piece tells me what it wants to become.
Sometimes it reminds me of the mountains that surround me here in Switzerland — the ridges, the cliffs, the quiet strength of the Alps. Other times it feels like the sun‑washed coastline of Santa Barbara, where I grew up. In addition, there are moments when it carries the deep blues of Ibiza or the raw textures of stones I’ve carried home from travels.
Wearable art for the bold soul
These pieces are not accessories. They’re experiences. And the person who wear them? They’re the bold souls. The ones who feel the energy of a piece and think, Yes. That’s me.
